On January 3, the American Malayali Heritage Foundation (AMHF) hosted a truly memorable experience at one of the world’s most iconic venues Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers game.

Our MSG Lounge Takeover was more than just a game night. It was a celebration of community, connection, and shared experiences, bringing together guests for an evening that blended sports, culture, and meaningful moments in a way only AMHF can.

Guests were welcomed into Lounge 307, where the evening began with a game-day fan experience starting at 5:30 PM. With complimentary food and drinks, access to the pregame warm-ups, and the energy of MSG buzzing all around, the atmosphere was electric from the start.

The lounge quickly became a space for conversation, laughter, and connection, a reminder of the power of bringing our community together in spaces where memories are made.

Courtside Energy & Special Guests

One of the highlights of the night was the courtside fan experience, giving guests a rare opportunity to feel the excitement up close before tip-off. Adding to the magic, NBA legends John Starks and Stephon Marbury stopped by the lounge, creating unforgettable moments for attendees of all ages.

The night became even more special when one of our guests celebrated his 18th birthday at the event — a milestone made truly unforgettable when Jalen Brunson signed his jersey.
