Residency Requirement: 

The titleholder must be a legal resident of the United States of America or Canada.

Gender and Age:

a. Confirmed as a biological female of the United States or Canada.

b. 14-17 years old (Miss Kerala Teen North America) or 18-28 years old (Miss Kerala North America).

Legal and Criminal Requirements:

a. The titleholder confirms she does not have any legal obligations that would prevent participation in the Miss Kerala North America or Miss Teen Kerala North America pageant.

b. Must not engage in any illegal activities or have been convicted of any crime.

c. Must be unmarried and without children, or have never given birth.

Participation in Events:

a. Participate in all events leading up to the final selection, including rehearsals, workshops, public appearances, telecasts, and broadcasts, as required.

b. Authorize the American Malayali Heritage Foundation to use images and likenesses for promotional purposes. 

c. If the titleholder is staying at the hotel, they are not permitted to leave the premises unless it’s an emergency or with prior notification to a board member and confirmation from an emergency contact on file. Failure to comply may result in disqualification without a refund. The board is not liable for any incidents that may occur if a contestant needs to leave and their emergency contact is also notified. The same code of conduct and professionalism is expected even outside of the hotel.

Judging and Decision-Making:

a. The judging and decisions regarding the awards will be solely at the discretion of the American Malayali Heritage Foundation, and these decisions are final.

b. I acknowledge that the time, manner, and method of judging the finals of the Miss Kerala North America and Miss Teen Kerala North America Pageant, as well as the determination and supervision of appearance fees, are solely at the discretion of the American Malayali Heritage. I further agree that all decisions made by the designated judges in matters related to the selection of winners are final and not open to appeal.

Restrictions on Participation:

a. If selected as Miss Kerala North America or Miss Teen Kerala North America, the titleholder cannot participate in other pageant competitions during their reign.

b. As Miss Kerala North America or Miss Teen North America, the American Malayali Heritage Foundation will act as an agent for press releases, contracts, and engagements.

c. Any events the titleholder wishes to participate in must be run through the American Malayali Heritage Foundation for confirmation and approval, including chaperone information if applicable.

Social Media Guidelines:

a. Social media posts must be appropriate and in line with the discretion of the American Malayali Heritage Foundation.

b. Legal drinking age titleholders should refrain from posting photos with alcohol on social media platforms.

c. I grant the American Malayali Heritage Foundation permission to use photographs and videos for promotional purposes.

Term and Duties:

a. The titleholders are required to return to crown their successors.

b. After their reign ends, the crown and sash can no longer be worn publicly. 

c. Marrying during the reign may lead to forfeiture of the title and associated contracts.

d. If the titleholder is a runner-up, she agrees to perform the duties if the titleholder or prior runner-ups are unable to do so.

Financial Policies:

a. All fees are nonrefundable.

b. Unsportsmanlike behavior from contestants, family members, and guests will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification without a refund.

c. The titleholder is not authorized to incur debts on behalf of the organization and acknowledges the organization only must accept the winners as a finalist if all eligibility requirements are met.

Compliance:

a. Titleholders are under the American Malayali Heritage Foundation jurisdiction for the duration of their reign and must adhere to all rules and guidelines.

b. This agreement cannot be amended or terminated except in writing signed off by all parties involved.

c. If any family member and/or friend is part of the American Malayali Heritage Foundation or judges' panel, the contestant must notify the pageant board.

Unforeseen Circumstances:

In the event of natural or third-party disruptions, the organization reserves the right to delay or modify the performance, and no party will be financially liable.

Confirmation and Permissions:

a. I agree to follow all rules and guidelines outlined in this agreement.

b. I understand that failure to meet these requirements will result in forfeiting my title, and the first runner-up will take over as the Miss Kerala North America or Miss Teen Kerala North America representative.

c. I confirm that I competed in the correct age division.
