Anthony Palliparambil

Anthony Palliparambil, Jr. is a journalist and fashion scholar with over a decade of experience in the creative industry. He began his arts career in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, working with a range of artists and arts organizations before briefly serving as the gallery director at a nonprofit art gallery. During this period, he also exhibited his own work throughout the nation’s capital, building an extensive exhibition history and earning permanent public art commissions as well as placements in the public collections of multiple hospitals and universities.

After five years in the arts, Anthony transitioned into fashion, earning his master’s degree in Fashion Studies from Parsons School of Design in New York. Following graduation, he joined the faculty at Parsons and the Pratt Institute, served on the editorial board of The Fashion Studies Journal, and helped install fashion exhibitions at several of New York City’s most venerated museums.

In 2022, Anthony was appointed the Style Editor at USA Today’s Reviewed, where he covered fashion, lifestyle, product testing, and gift guides. Two years later, he shifted into international advocacy work at a DC-based marketing agency. Anthony recently returned to writing as a full-time freelance journalist, with bylines in Forbes, Harper's Bazaar Singapore, i-D MagazineFashion Projects, and more.
